For a craft idea: i think it would be a good idea for the children to bring a picture of a family with them in the picture. ( if they are not able to bring pictures, there will be a previous activities where the teacher will take pictures of the kids with friends.) what the children will do is design a picture frame for their picture. they will be handed poster board and will be given glitter, markers, and etc. then the teacher with the child will cut out the frame and paste picture to it. and that will be the art project,
I think that sounds like a lot of fun for the kids (very creative.) What about foster kids, or would that be the ones with the friends pictures?
ReplyDeleteIt is a good learning tool for students to be able to incorporate their lives at home with their lives at school. It makes them feel a special part of the learning process.

I didn't think about the incorporation part of the project and how important that would be to students, especially at that age. This project would be a lot of fun a great tool for them to express themselves.
